CRISPY CHEESE WAFERS

 

 

½ cup margarine

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

1-cup flour

¼ tablespoon cayenne

1-tablespoon salt

2 cups finely chopped pecans

 

Cream butter and cheese.

 

Sift flour, salt and pepper.

 

Add to cheese mixture, mixing well with hands.

 

Add nuts, using hands.

 

Roll dough into several rolls the size of quarters, wrap in wax paper and place in refrigerator over-night.

 

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

 

Slice thin and bake 10 – 12 minutes.  Watch carefully. Cool on cookie rack.
