KAHLUA
Mix 12
tablespoons of INSTANT COFFEE in 5 cups of WATER. Set aside. In sauce pan make
syrup of 8 cups of SUGAR in 4 cups of WATER. Bring to boil 20-25 min. Add
coffee mix. Cool. Add
1 oz.
VANILLA. Pour into one gallon jug and add one-fifth bottle of VODKA (use
inexpensive kind). Fill with WATER to make full gallon. Shake well and let
stand overnight. Pour into other bottles.
AMARETTO
7 cups of
SUGAR
4 quarts of
WATER
1 cup DARK
CORN SYRUP 1
fifth of
GRAIN ALCOHOL
5 oz. ALMOND
EXTRACT
2 oz VANILLA
EXTRACT Add
SUGAR to WATER and boil for 50 minutes. Remove from heat and add CORN SYRUP.
Stir to mix well. Cool and then add
EXTRACTS and GRAIN ALCOHOL. Bottle--
let age several weeks
for best
flavor. Makes about 5 quarts
IRISH
CREAM
1 1/2 cups of
whiskey (IRISH MIST)
1 tbl.
INSTANT COFFEE
2 tbl
SMUCKERS CHOCOLATE TOPPING
1 can EAGLE
BRAND MILK
1/2 pint
WHIPPING CREAM
3 EGGS
2 ORANGE
Blend till
creamy, store at least 12 hours before using.
GRAND
MANIER
Put 1 cup of
sugar in a large jar. Pour in one-fifth of BRANDY. Pierce 1 fresh ORANGE and thread string thru (a darning needle
and dental floss is great). Suspend the
orange OVER the Brandy and put lid on jar. Leave covered and do not stir for
five days. Then remove orange, stir sugar, put another new orange on the string
and suspend as before and leave for an additional five days. Then remove orange
and
enjoy.
ANISETTE
Boil 3 quarts
WATER, add 8 cups SUGAR and boil until sticky - about 1 hour-. Cool. Add 1
quart GRAIN ALCOHOL and anise Pure extract (3-5 drops- add to suit taste. Add
food coloring if
desired .
Makes 4 quarts.
